She stood upon a rosy hill, spinning around smiling. Her unique hairstyle flying around in the breeze. Rei watched happily, she was just content to see her friend happy. Rei watched Usagi dance around the rose field; she looked down to see her watching up at her.

"Rei! Come and admire the roses! They are so beautiful, and you know who has many roses? Mamo-chan!" Usagi gazed off into the distance, her expression became dreamy.

Rei suddenly felt an evil presence lurking among her and her friend. "Usagi come down here now." She ordered. "Something isn't right - I can feel it."

"I feel it too." Usagi replied, but did not make an attempt to move and she grasped her transformation brooch tightly in her right hand.

"Darkness is coming, and you Sailor Mars will let it all unfold." a dark sinister voice echoed across the sky.

"Usagi transform!" Rei commanded and she did herself. "Mars Crystal Power!"

"Moon Eternal Power!"

The girls transformed into Sailor Soldiers form and prepared to fight.

"Show yourself!" Sailor Moon cried, looking helplessly in the sky.

"I told you, darkness is coming, the moon will be eclipsed and she will destroy everything. She will bring about the black hole, and ceasing this universe's existence!" The sinister voice was now closer to Sailor Mars' ear. "She will bring upon us all the apocalypse. The end of the galaxy. Observe the darkness within her."

Sailor Mars tilted her head upright and saw Sailor Moon. The roses beneath her disappeared and dark, black vines had emerged from the grass and wrapped around her. She screamed for help, but Sailor Mars couldn't move - she was grounded to the spot. When the vines disappeared Sailor Moon looked different. Besides her uniform completely changing; her back bow wing was now a feathery black, her brooch now a deformed black heart, black collars and skirt, the bubble-gum pink shoulder pads were now grey and her crescent moon was now black and upside down - like those from Black Moon Clan. Sailor Moon now wore an expression that did not suit her. It was like her soul had completely turn dark, the lightness that she had was gone as was the smile that was normally on her face was replaced with narrowed eyes and a sinister smile. She began to walk towards Sailor Mars and came to a halt in front of her.

"This is for the best." She said simply, her voice filled with a mix of hatred and authority. "Do not get in our way." She began to walk towards the horizon.

"Sailor Moon!" Mars called, when she did not respond she tried again. "Usagi!"

"I am no longer the girl you knew, do not speak her name."

"Usagi!"

The scene dissolved, and Rei awoke from her nightmare. Just a dream? That could not be possible! She gasped for air and pulled her sheets back and headed into the bathroom. Rei observed herself in the mirror; her face was all flushed from the tossing and turning in her nightmare. A thought had occurred to her. Is this another premonition? Like the one about the Messiah of Silence?

"Rei! Are you here?" a voice called from the hallway.

Rei exited the bathroom in her pyjamas and came face to face with Usagi. Behind her was the rest of the gang, Ami, Makoto and Minako. Usagi was smiling sweetly at her; her smile convinced Rei that it was only a dream. It couldn't be possible that Usagi would ever become a dark soul. She was too pure and innocent for that.

"Did you forget?" Usagi asked. "We were waiting out the front of the temple, waiting for you to meet up with you."

"Meet up with me?" Rei asked confusedly.

"We were seeing a movie today remember? We planned it for the 16th!" Makoto asked her, eyebrows rose up at Rei’s confused expression.

"Oh right!" In a world where they were fighting enemies almost daily, it was sometimes easy to forget that something as simple as going to a movie with your friends still existed. It warmed Rei’s heart that they had already faced, and defeated evil after evil whom wished to conquer something. Nothing would come again. Surely word of the Sailor Soldiers protecting this solar system had reached every known universe? The fact that they managed to save countless lives over surely that would have reached other galaxies, somehow informing evil, that our solar system was not up for the taking. "I'll just get changed." Rei said, bringing herself back to reality.

The girls began to walk down to the bus stop down the hill from the temple. Rei was subjected to her and Usagi bickering over something she could not even remember later. Ami was reading a small book, whilst Makoto and Minako were seeing who could jump as many steps down as possible. Minako stood in front of the bus stop first, checking the timetable while the other girls caught up.

"What movie should we see?" Usagi asked Makoto.

Rei was not listening to Makoto’s animated response. She could not remove the stare Usagi had given her in her nightmare as an evil Sailor Moon. She looked up into the sky as if that would help her in finding her answer.

Usagi pulled her bed sheets up to her neck that night and left the curtains wide open to let the moonlight fill the room. "Night Luna."

"Good night Usagi." Luna replied, half drowsy as she curled up on one side of her. "Sleep well."

"Of course I will." Usagi burst out cheerily, it was clear she had been holding this back. "We're free. We've all faced the worst and the universe is safe."

Luna rolled her eyes but nonetheless said. "Just sleep well Usagi."

Usagi grunted and opened her eyes. "What is that reddish light?" She asked.

Usagi flung her covers off - sending Luna flying in the process - and looked out the window at the moon. Luna jumped on the windowsill and looked at the moon with Usagi. "It's a Lunar Eclipse." She noticed Usagi’s dumbfounded expression and elaborated. "It's when the moon is eclipsed by the sun. Goes all red."

"I know it goes all red Luna! I do have eyes!" Usagi commented indignantly.

Luna laughed and they watched it. As the sun was moving out of the way, something flew out from the moon. It was small, like a gold flake, and it soared down into the earth's atmosphere. Luna and Usagi had now lost sight of it but the thing had now landed in the local park, much to the eyes of too many unsuspecting people. It was indeed the size of a gold flake, but it was clearly not a friendly shade of gold. It was a shade of moonlight and spiky, and it had a life of it's own. It then began searching for something... a host.

Makoto began to run to school in a rush. I can't believe I'm pulling a Usagi or Minako! She thought, as she picked up speed and headed through the park, which happened to be on her direct path to school. There was only one man out for a jog now, Makoto and the man had ran past each other and of course she couldn't help but check him out. Whilst still running and now not paying attention to where she was running, Makoto tripped over the pavement.

"Ow." she moaned, nursing her arm, which was now in pain. "I am very late now." Makoto noted, turning around to get one last glance of the man whom was now screaming.

Makoto gasped and turned completely to see what was happening to the man. He seemed to be covered in a dark gas and he was suffocating. She pushed herself upright and shouted for the man to run from the gas. He tried but it seemed to have stuck to him like glue and he continued his screams, but no one but Makoto or himself heard the screams.

Makoto flipped open her wristwatch communicator and contacted the others. "Something is wrong - come quickly!" She shouted into the communicator and snapped it shut. Her eyes now focused on the man.

The dark gas un-attached itself from the man, and moved around blindly. It had a dark sinister voice about it. "Not a match."

"Stop right there!" Makoto shouted pointing a finger at the gas. She now felt stupid. Shouting at particles of gas. If gas could have a face, she was sure it was now looking at her. Grinning perhaps, as if it found another target.

"Rise! Evil servant!" the gas commanded.

Then around the collapsed man on the ground, a dark circle passed over him, as if an eclipse. When the darkness had passed over the other side, he was no longer human. The dark gas had disappeared and the creature stood up. He looked like a deformed animal, like a wolf, although it's eyes were pitch black with grey gas leaking from them. The creature bared its teeth at Makoto, who screamed. The creature stood on its back legs and its front leg spawned razor sharp nails the size of a chef's knife. On it's head was a deformed shape of a heart in maroon. The creature now was approaching Makoto; fast.

She was about to run, but she could not let this creature roam the city. She had a duty to protect her home and the mere thought of abandoning was ridiculous. Makoto pulled out her Crystal Change Rod and shouted, “Jupiter Crystal Power!”

Makoto had now transformed into her alter ego Sailor Jupiter. "You have been possessed and changed into an evil creature, forced to do evil things! I will not let you!" Jupiter informed the creature, who was not listening.

The creature had now pushed her over onto the ground. The creature was sitting upon her and was about to slash her - but something stopped it. A fire arrow had pierced its chest and flew back several feet - it let out a cry of agony. Sailor Jupiter looked up behind her and saw Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars and Sailor Venus standing behind her looking worried.

"How dare you attack my friends! You shall pay for this cruelness! In the name of the -" Sailor Moon was cut off mid-sentence as the creature lunged at her. She let out a scream as she dodged to the side. "Hey! I wasn't finished yet!" Sailor Moon shouted at the creature, which was now turning around and heading back for her.

"Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!" Sailor Mercury shouted as her attacked hit the creature.

"Sailor Moon!" Jupiter shouted. "Save him! He was a human, I'll explain later!" she added hastily as the creature had now made a swipe at Sailor Venus. "You must cure him quickly!"

"Venus Love and Beauty Shock!" Another attacked had blasted the creature. It seemed to do nothing, if anything; attacks against the creature were making it stronger.

"Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss!" Sailor Moon shouted. Her attacked healed the creature, transforming him back into a human out cold.

"Sailor Moon!" Sailor Jupiter shouted, running up beside her. "I think we need to see Mamoru right now, explain this to him as well as I tell you guys what I saw." Sailor Moon nodded and they changed back into their civilian forms and ran off to Mamoru’s apartment.

"Mamo-chan! Mamo-chan, are you home?” Usagi yelled, knocking on the door several times.

"Perhaps he has gone out." Minako suggested, but his door opened.

"Usako." Mamoru smiled. "Ami, Rei, Makoto, Minako. What brings you all... here." he dragged out his last word as he saw their worried looking faces. Something was not right. "You better come in quickly."

The girls followed in after he put his arm aside, allowing them to pass. They all went and sat down on the sofas and the ground.

"What is it?" Mamoru asked them tentatively.

"Well, ah," Usagi began. "We didn't see it all but."

"A new enemy has arrived." Makoto interrupted. "I was late for school running through the park and I witnessed this..." she struggled for words. "Dark gas seemed to have - attached itself to a man and then said 'Not a match' and then..." she looked around at all there faces. Minako looked sceptical but still interested and the rest looked worried. None were as worried as Rei. Makoto pressed on, "The gas un-attached itself from the man and the man transformed into a man."

"That's when we arrived." Usagi continued on. "He came charging at us and I healed him. So no real harm done." she concluded.

"No harm done?" Minako repeated to Usagi, her eyes mocking.

"Usagi it must be more serious than this. It seems Earth is in danger - again." Ami said. She was thinking very hard.

Mamoru looked outside for a bit before adding to the conversation. “Did anyone see the eclipse last night?”

"Yeah!" Usagi replied, just remembering. "Luna and I saw the Lunar Eclipse, and then it looked like for a minute something had popped out from it, but we didn't see anything after that."

"Could this be where the new enemy comes from?" Minako asked. "The sun or the moon... well it couldn't possibly be the moon." Changing tact once she saw Usagi’s face on suggesting the moon.

The group continued to discuss where this dark gas came from and the relevance from it to the lunar eclipse the night before. Rei’s mind was now thinking of her dream. Words like; eclipse, seemed to make her believe that her nightmare was indeed a premonition. But how could she reveal this? This ridiculous theory when it was Makoto who was with this gas that was possessing and then changing them not Usagi. Could this all be coming true?
